Get Away Hostel - Commons Area

Breakfast comes with accommodation, from 7-9:30am.  It's a buffet style, so students can get a plate and help themselves between that time.  Their food varies daily.
You can see the kitchen (where the breakfast is held) further out into the next room ahead, and then they can eat at the chair/table where that guy is sitting to the right.

This is what you see 1st thing as you enter the hostel, great place to sit for a short meeting and to use their computers.  You would need a password to access their computer, otherwise it's available for who ever gets to it first.  From their computer you can print without a charge.

If you wanted to store your left over food or grocery they have a convenient fridge for guests.  It is located in the kitchen where the breakfast is served.  They have a full kitchen, with pans, pots for guest to use.

Get Away Hostel - private 4 bedroom

Each bed comes with pillow, blanket, sheets, and towel for shower.
2 bunk beds that will fit 4 people.  The light from outside is kind of bright in the picture but below there is a square which is the air conditioner as they don't have central air since it's a older building, one of Chicago historical landmark.

This entrance way leads to the full bathroom.

Full Bathroom with towel, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, and body wash.

On both side of the front door there is a closet to hang your cloth, towel, or to store stuff.  In case you are wondering if there are hangers, I didn't see any hangers in the room

Here is a picture of the front door when it is closed, double lock for safety.  And the red doors which leads to the closet.

If you do decide to get a locker there are a few lockers in the lower level that can be used, those are free as long as you bring your own lock, or can be purchased at the front desk for $5.
This hostel is close in approximation to the Briar Street Theater where the Blue Man Group is, about 20 minute walk, one stop on the cta, and a few stops on the pace bus.  It is in the Lincoln Park neighborhood and close to the neighborhood of Lake View, 6 minutes away from Lincoln Park, 10 minutes walk to DePaul University, and not too far from the beach.  For more reviews on this hostel click here
